A George II Oak Housekeepers Cupboard
The ogee cornice above panelled doors with pine backboards and adjustable shelving behind, the lower section has two central drawers flanked by three graduated drawers, one has small partitions and a couple have old wall paper lining, all with there original brass ring handles, behind matching panelled doors.
A rare vernacular example or impressive scale and colour, the surface is dry and untouched throughout, the period steel locks, hinges and drop bolts are also present and working, the brass escutcheon are original and correct, the plinth base has been replaced with a section of 18th century English oak and left unfinished.
